Physical Examinations
The Board requires a physical examination (completed
after May 1st of 6th grade year)
to provide eligibility for physical education
classes in grades 7-12 and
athletics in grades
7-8.
Students participating in interscholastic athletics
will be required to have physical
examinations at the beginning of 9th and 11th grades.
At the beginning of the 10th and 12th grade years,
if the student has completed a physical exam in the
previous year, the parent must complete and return
an interim questionnaire. The exam is done at the expense
of the student.

Release of Student Directory Information (FERPA)
The Boise School District complies with federal law
(Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) as it
relates to the release of student directory information
to the public. More

Concurrent Enrollment
Concurrent credit for specific courses taught in the Boise School District is
available through Boise State University, Northwest Nazarene University and
the College of Southern Idaho. Credit is granted by both the high school and
the college sponsoring the course. See the matrix for a list
of courses and the partnering universities. Cost for concurrent
credit is the student’s responsibility. See your teacher or school
counselor for more information. Courses must be approved by the content area
supervisor and the Administrator of Instruction.
Post Secondary Dual Enrollment
Post secondary Dual Enrollment is open to 11th and
12th grade students who have not graduated. District
shall grant academic credit to a student who meets
the requirements of policy #2121 and successfully completes
course work at a post-secondary institution. Some post-secondary
courses may qualify for weighted grade points as determined
by the Administrator of Instruction. More
