Grades
The grade that a student receives in this course will
be a reflection of how the student has performed in
two areas: the acquisition and assimilation of performance
skills in the areas of reading, writing, listening
and oral language production. These performance skills
are referenced in the approved German I curriculum
and its appendix. The course grade will be calculated
from scores obtained on unit quizzes and tests, projects
and activities, daily assignments, and the End of Course
Exam. Progress reports providing current grades or
percentages will be issued at the midterm of each quarter.
The End of Course Exam (EOC) will count as 10% of
the student’s final grade and help determine
whether or not the student has met the State Standards
in Humanities for this particular course. It will consist
of a written and speaking component as well as a multiple
choice exam evaluating listening, reading, cultural
and grammatical proficiencies.
