How to Apply for a Certified Position
Step 1: Complete an online application

You are encouraged to apply prior to the posting of job openings.
Step 2: Complete the TeacherFit Assessment
You will be provided a link to complete TeacherFit once you submit your application. Since you will need approximately 30-35 minutes to
complete the assessment, it is not required that you complete TeacherFit immediately following the submission of your application;
however, the assessment should be completed within 24 hours of application submission. When you are ready to complete the web-based
assessment, simply log back into your application and click on the TeacherFit link.
Step 3: Submit required application materials
The following materials must be submitted:
New applicants will need to scan and/or attach the required documents to the online application. If you experience problems attaching
materials, contact the Employment and Benefits office at employment@boiseschools.org.
Step 4: Complete a screening interview
Once all complete application materials are received, Employment and Benefits staff will contact the applicant to schedule a
screening interview based upon district staffing needs.
Step 5: Indicate job vacancies for which you
would like to be considered

Vacancy announcements will be posted on the District website. In-district professional staff who complete an online Transfer Request will
be considered. A manifest request to hire outside applicants will be determined after transfer requests are reviewed.
Step 6: Manifest (list of applicants)
When a manifest request for outside applicants is authorized, the Employment and Benefits staff will review applications to determine the
qualified candidates to be placed on the manifest. The manifest is sent to the site administrator. The site administrator will contact
the candidates on the manifest for an interview. Applicants are asked not to call the sites or the Employment & Benefits
Department to request placement on a manifest.
Step 7: Offer of Employment
The site administrator will recommend a finalist to the Area Director, and if approved, the site administrator will extend an offer of
employment.
Step 8: Contract Processing
After the finalist has accepted the employment offer the manifest will be sent to the Employment and Benefits office for contract
processing. The finalist will receive a letter of welcome and a request for materials (i.e. original transcripts and credential) in order
to prepare the contract.
