Welcome to the home of the
Appaloosa and the Cynthia Mann Counseling
Department! My goal is to work
together with children, parents, teachers,
staff and the great community we have in
Boise to provide all of our students with
life-long learning skills. Together we
can create an environment that children can
grow, learn and be educated not only in the
foundations that they will get in their
classroom, but learn to be citizens and
contributors to our society.

Focus areas:
- Classroom
guidance: I teach lessons in Conflict
Management, Safe Choices, Substance Abuse
Prevention and Careers to all children.
- Small groups: I
am available to run small groups in areas such
as divorce, friendship, self-esteem, etc.
I love getting to know students well and being
able to help them with difficult personal
issues.
- Individual work
with students: Children are free to come and
talk when they need to. I am a good
listener and I give them positive feedback as we
solve problems together.
- Parent
education: I have lots of great information
regarding our district parenting classes, Love
and Logic. I highly recommend it to
parents!
- Parent/staff
consultation: I am always available to consult
with parents and staff members.
- Other: I help
plan Red Ribbon Week activities (a drug
prevention program), coordinate Operation School
Bell for children needing school clothes, and am
the 504 Coordinator at C.M.
