WELCOME TO CYNTHIA MANN ELEMENTARY!
We are looking forward to a terrific year of learning and
growing. Our goal is to provide a safe, positive, nurturing
environment where students and teachers treat one another with
respect.
We share the motto of the Boise School
District: “Educating Today for A Better Tomorrow.” Our
school philosophy states:
“ … each child should have
the opportunity to achieve success and develop a feeling of self
worth. Through varied teaching techniques the Cynthia Mann staff
will provide each student with the skills necessary for cumulative
learning, a sense of worth leading to social maturity, and the
means to develop a set of moral and ethical values.”
This philosophy is dependent on positive staff
and parent relations. Community support is essential in helping to
provide the best opportunities for students to learn and grow. Our
desire is to keep the lines of communication open. This will be
done through weekly newsletters and reminders.
Student attendance at school is extremely
important to our staff. When students are absent for any part of
the day, it has a direct affect on their performance and success.
So please remember the phrase “Miss a minute, miss a lot”,
when considering appointments, early dismissals and absences.
I encourage you to become actively involved in
your child’s education. This can be done by volunteering in the
classroom, joining the PTA and supporting the classroom teacher by
encouraging your child to listen to him/her and complete all
assignments on time. Please give us a call at 854-4680 any time if
you have questions or need assistance. It is our privilege to work
with you and your child at Cynthia Mann Elementary.
