Years of experience:
I began teaching in 1990 but have taught off
and on over the years. I took time off of
teaching to be at home with my children when they
were young and my husband and I also opened and
ran a few businesses. I am thrilled to be
back in the classroom!
Degree:
BA from Dominican University of California
Chapman University - teaching certificate
Job experiences:
I began my teaching career by
teaching high school in San Luis
Obispo, California for a year. I then
moved to Japan and taught at a Japanese
kindergarten. When I returned from Japan I
taught 5th grade and later 2nd grade in the Bay
Area of California. I am now proud to be a
kindergarten teacher at
Hawthorne!
Family:
I am married to a wonderful man that I began
dating right out of high school. We have
three incredible children (a son and identical
twin daughters) who are in elementary
school.
Hobbies
I enjoy reading, doing art projects, gardening,
organizing things around the house, visiting with
friends and watching movies.
