Welcome to Hidden Springs Elementary. It is with great pleasure
that I get to work with the students, staff and parents at
such a wonderful school. I am fortunate to be able to work
with such a dedicated group of people. I enjoy working with
students and providing counseling support through classroom
lessons, individual and group sessions. The Hidden Springs
School Counseling program is designed to meet the needs of
all children k-6th grade.
Focus areas:
- Classroom guidance: Throughout the year, the counseling
program provides classroom instruction in K-6th grades. I
will be in your child’s classroom every other week
presenting lessons on a variety of topics such as success
in school, conflict management, safe choices, and future
planning.
- Small groups: Small groups will be offered to students
who have the need during the school year. Our groups may
cover topics such as friendships, school success, divorce,
and others as needed.
- Individual work with students: I provide a safe place
for students to share their concerns and feelings. I assist
students in learning how to express themselves in a positive
manner that will enable them to get their needs met in a
respectful way. The students are referred to me through parents,
teachers or themselves.
- Parent education: The Boise School District offers a variety
of parental education classes. If you are interested, please
let me know.
- Parent/staff consultation: I am happy to meet with parents
any time to discuss your child’s educational or emotional
needs or concerns.
Chris Hall
Educational background and experience: I graduated from Boise
State University with a BA in Elementary education. After teaching
for seven years, I earned my Masters degree in School Counseling.
I have worked as a school counselor in the Boise School District
for the over ten years.
I am a mother to two grown daughters and one grandson. I have
been married for over 30 years and we spend a lot of time fishing
when the weather permits. My hobbies are gardening, quilting,
reading and tole painting.
