School, we welcome you! We are proud to say that
Koelsch Elementary has been part of the Boise School District for over
50 years. Our school has consistently provided outstanding educational
opportunities for children throughout our community. Koelsch Elementary
is a great place for all students to learn.
Koelsch Elementary serves a wide diversity of
students from all over the world. Our enrollment is
approximately 350 students. Currently, we have over 100 English
Language Learners (ELL) speaking 19 different languages.
Community support is essential in
helping to provide the best opportunities for students to achieve and
maximize their learning. Koelsch School has an active PTO and
Volunteer Program providing great support to staff and
students. Please contact our administrative assistant Crystal Prindle
for more information at 854-5300. Please feel free to visit and hope
you enjoy our school. Our educational program is dependent on positive
staff and parent relations.
“ We are what we repeatedly
do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”

Levy Facts
Tuesday, March 13, 2012
What has the
Boise School District done to reduce spending?
To deal with massive cuts in funding from the state Legislature, the
District has made
accountable cuts totaling $22 million over the past three years,
including $6 million in administrative
positions such as assistant principals and school counselors and
instituting unpaid furlough days
for staff to save another $2.1 million. Those cuts shielded the
classrooms, which have been
unaffected. 100 percent of the money raised through the levy would go
toward preserving class
sizes and educational programs, not for administrative costs.
ATTENTION:
ALL PARENTS OF OPEN ENROLLED STUDENTS!

MUST RE-APPLY for enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year by
