Mission Statement
The purpose of this volunteer organization shall be to build a strong sense of community between parents/guardians, students, teachers, administrators, and staff at Riverglen Junior High School through the ongoing support of educational programs and social activities.
Objectives
1. To assist the educational efforts of Riverglen teachers and staff by supplying parent/guardian volunteer lists for specific purposes such as classroom help, field trip help, and testing help.
2. To recognize the contributions of Riverglen teachers, and staff through appreciation luncheons or other such activities.
3. To foster open communication between the school, parents/guardians, and within the P.A.W.S. organization through newsletters, directories, and other means.
4. To invite parent/guardian involvement and encourage positive student interactions by organizing or assisting with school events.
5. To promote school spirit by handling Riverglen logo apparel sales.
6. To seek working relationships with businesses when necessary to meet the goals of the P.A.W.S. organization.
7. To pursue fundraising opportunities when necessary to meet the goals of the P.A.W.S. organization.
