Goals & Objectives

Goal 1: To use best practices, formative & summative assessments, and learning teams to increase/maintain the percentage of all students, including all subgroups, achieving proficiency on statewide assessments. Students

  • Objective 1: To increase/maintain the number of students scoring proficient/advanced on the 3rd. - 6th. grade Language ISAT in order to meet/exceed the state requirements.
  • Objective 2: To increase to 70% the number of 5th. grade students scoring a "3" or above on the state winter DWA.
  • Objective 3: To increase/maintain the number of students scoring proficient/advanced on the 3rd. - 6th. grade Math ISAT in order to meet/exceed the state requirement.
  • Objective 4: To refine and align the school RtL/Problem Solving Process with the district and state expectations in order to meet the academic needs of individual students identified in Tier 2 and Tier 3.

GOAL 2: To implement/maintain a model of school, family, and community partnerships that is designed to engage, guide, energize, and motivate students to produce their own academic and behavioral successes.

  • Objective 1: To help all families establish home environments to support their children academically, socially & emotionally.  (Type 1: Parenting & Type 4: Learning at Home).
  • Objective 2: To create opportunities for families to understand & participate in the decision-making process regarding school goals & objectives, school programs and their children's social and academic progress. (Type 2: Communicating, Type 3: Volunteering, & Type 5: Decision making).

GOAL 3: To maintain a safe, kind, and postive learning community that continually fosters the core values of respect and responsibility for both students and adults alike.

  • Objective 1: To effectively communicate and implement school wide behavior policies and procedures so that the identified procedures are followed, reinforced and dealt with consistently among all staff members and students are taught collaborative/cooperative behaviors.

GOAL 4: To integrate and utilize technology as a tool improve academic achievement and teacher effectiveness.

  • Objective 1: To increase the number of staff members integrating PLATO, Smart Boards, and CPS into their daily instruction, in order to increase student achievement.
