Donations and Fundraising:

Once again Washington's Library is implementing a different kind of fundraiser. No one will have to plan an event, make any goods for bake sales or sell items door-to-door. All that is involved is a simple donation to the Boise Public Schools Education Foundation.

Donations to the Foundation are tax deductible and are eligible for the tax credit for contributions to Idaho educational entities. Some of your employers even match your contributions to the Foundation!

If you donate $100 to the Foundation for Washington Elementary School's Library, your actual out-of-pocket expense after taxes will be $17. A $200 contribution will result in a $34 after-tax expense and a $500 donation will actually cost $134 after tax breaks.

Any contribution earmarked "Washington Elementary School Library" goes to help buy new books to update our non-fiction collection or add to our fiction and easy-reader collection.  It will help us purchase books needed for projects and reports as well as provide interesting, age-appropriate books to encourage reluctant readers.

Remember, donations to Washington Elementary School's Library through the Boise Public Schools Education Foundation are tax deductible. The Foundation accepts checks, MasterCard and Visa. We see this opportunity as one that will mutually benefit you and your child's school.
