Medication Policy:
The Medication Policy for students in junior high school is slightly different than elementary school. All medications, prescription and OTC (over the counter), must be put in the Nurse’s Office. Students are NOT to carry them, or put them in their lockers.

Those students who have inhalers must bring their inhaler to the nurse and she will determine if the student needs to keep the inhaler with them. Often times, students don’t remember to bring their inhalers to school everyday. If your student only needs to use their inhaler occasionally, it is in their best interest to have the inhaler in the nurse’s office where it will always be available during the school day.

I will be checking for scoliosis in the PE classes. Seventh grade girls who did not receive a screening this summer during their PE physical will be checked before Thanksgiving as well as 8th grade boys. This takes less than a minute and is done in private, one student at a time.

I will be teaching Puberty classes to 7th grade girls and boys before Christmas. Boys and girls are taught separately during their PE classes.
