Welcome to White Pine Elementary School’s Counselor Webpage!

I am excited to once again have the opportunity to work with all of the wonderful students and parents at White Pine. I will be visiting all of the classrooms throughout the school year presenting lessons on academics, conflict management, safe choices, and career. Please ask your student what we did for the week and look for papers and projects to come home after each unit. In addition to being in the classroom, I also have the opportunity to work with students in small group settings and on an individual basis. Another part of my job that I enjoy is that I get an opportunity to work with you, the parents, with Parent Education, community referrals, and helping find ways to make your student's educational experience more positive and successful. Focus areas:

• Classroom guidance:I will be in each of the classrooms every other week for the school year.
• Small groups: include friendship, social skills, and family changes.
• Individual work with students
• Parent Education: Parenting with Love & Logic will be taught at White Pine 2nd semester.
• Mentoring: Big Brothers/Big Sisters

Educational background and experience:
MS Secondary Education, Idaho State University, M.Ed. School Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University. I have been a school counselor for over 15 years.
