Science Department

Elementary Science

The elementary science program introduces students to concepts in both the Life and Physical sciences through the use of inquiry-based laboratory kits developed by Lawrence Laboratories at UC Berkley (FOSS program) and the National Academy of Sciences (STC program). Both programs are built upon the National Science Education Standards and develop the fundamental vocabulary that students will use at the secondary level. Benchmarks help guide our instruction and mission - Science Literacy for All Students.

Our elementary science content is taught by classroom teachers.
